MISSION & VISION
Concerned Residents of Greater Binghamton (CRGB) empowers community residents to stand up for their rights and welfare.
We are non-partisan alliance of local civic, community, religious, and educational organizations to defend the rights of those facing persecution in the current political climate – we are currently focused on immigrant rights – through providing material assistance, local and state advocacy, education, and other means.

A grassroots, nonprofit advocacy organization.
CRGB formed following the November 2024 elections by and is made up of members of various groups and Individuals in the area concerned with human rights. Part of our role will be to foster coordination between our various organizations, help identify assets, and identify unmet needs. Founding organizations include: The American Civic Association (ACA), Binghamton United Presbyterian Church, Binghamton University Women’s Center, the Broome County Council of Churches, Citizen Action, Indivisible Binghamton, Justice and Unity in the Southern Tier (JUST), Missionaries of the Heart of Jesus, Network for a Sustainable Tomorrow (NeST), New York Immigration Coalition, St Francis of Assisi, Temple Concord, the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Binghamton, Broome county Democratic Women, Southern Tier Voices of Power.
Working Groups
Immigration outreach
We call attention to injustice and facilitate ‘Know Your Rights’ training to help organizations and individuals prepare for aggression from ICE.
Advocacy
We meet with elected officials to urge them to take steps to support the rights of immigrants.
Rapid Response
We respond to reports of activity in our community that threatens human rights, e.g. ICE activity.
