The Broome County Legislature is voting on a budget this Thursday. The Legislature is voting to approve a $55 Million request for Sheriff Akshar while BC Jail houses ICE detainees bussed in from across the state. As taxpayers, we have to step up and fight back against Akshar’s collaboration with ICE.
This meeting is open to the public. Pack the meeting. Bring signs.
📍 County Office Building on Hawley Street in Binghamton, 6th Floor, Legislative Conference Room.
There will be metal detectors but you can bring signs.
